About Dugan’s Travels Host Agency

Dugan’s Travels was started in 1997 because Jennifer Dugan, a travel agent, wanted to have a career where she could be at home with her children. Since that time, Jennifer and the staff at Dugan’s Travels have created a host agency with a family-friendly environment where hundreds of agents work to realize the dream of owning a successful home-based travel business.

The goal at Dugan’s Travels is to provide all agents–new and experienced–with the tools they need to be profitable and successful. We do that by offering a comprehensive training program including exclusive agent training events in locations across the US to help agents build knowledge and the confidence needed to succeed.

– Top supplier commission levels. The collective sales of our agents mean top commissions for you!
– Low start-up and support fees. One flat fee to join and low support fees and E&O renewals billed annually.
– Increased commission split with experience. After 3 years your commission split goes from 75% to 80%.
– Support. We offer an agent exclusive website and agent-sourced forums.
– CRM at no extra cost to you. Dugan’s uses ClientEase and provides this tool at no extra cost to our agents.

Our Program

With Dugan’s, you aren’t buying a franchise–you are creating your own business. We offer agents the opportunity to start their own travel business without high start-up costs.
Agent Sign-up Fee*: $300
Included in the sign-up fee:
– New agent training
– Errors and Omissions insurance for 1 year
– Commission direct deposit set up
– Agency support fees for one year
Every new agent must sign a contract, pay the sign-up fee, and complete training.
*Sign up fee must be paid by credit card and is non-refundable.

Renewal fees billed annually:
– Support fees $180/year. Your support fees may be reduced or waived based on sales for the previous 12 months.
– Errors and Omission insurance renewal $50/year.

Proof of Citizenship or Residency – Dugan’s Travels only accepts U.S. Citizens or U.S. Residents residing in the 50 U.S. States including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. At time of sign-up, you will be required to submit a copy of a valid U.S. state issued driver’s license or identification card, U.S. Passport or U.S. Resident Alien Card.

Training
We offer training for all experience levels. All agents, regardless of experience must complete the training program. The program is agency specific and covers information and tools that are specific to Dugan’s Travels.

New Agent Training:
– Online new agent training on the basics of the business and working with Dugan’s Travels
– Online training manual
– Online agency policies handbook
– VAXVacationAccess Training (this is a frequently used booking engine)
– ClientEase CRM training

Ongoing Agent Training:
– Agents have access to Dugan’s University.
1 Dugan’s University @ Anaheim- week long comprehensive training
2 Dugan’s U Travels to….- this event changes locations each year on the East coast.
3 Bootcamp – this event changes yearly but places a focus on 1 topic/destination for agents to focus on.
– Supplier Training – We encourage all agents to seek additional training opportunities with suppliers, Visitor’s Bureau, OSSN, NACTA, and Vacation.com (our travel consortium).
